save without the -01 extension?

Can you save a file without the -01 extension not using Bridge? I don't have experience using Bridge.

What program are you saving a file from? Bridge is used to view files but it doesn’t save them. Can you provide a more detailed explanation of your workflow. Screen captures of the save dialog are helpful too.

The extension will always be added when saving artboards.

Deselect "Use artboards".

If you don’t have experience using Bridge to batch rename files, it is very easy to gain such experience. The forum is here to help and there are countless web pages, PDF files and video tutorials on the subject. That being said, the forum needs to know exactly the type of filename patterns you are dealing with as there may not be a one size fits all “cookie cutter” approach. The challenge will be having a unique name for each artboard, which is what the default -01, -02 etc achieves.
