Saving for Web with hyperlink slices in Illustrator CC

I am trying to export a document with hyperlinks embedded in various text box objects (accomplished through making slices). ie the text is not the actual URL, but a sentence that I want the link to be hidden in and clickable.

When I save for web as PNG, it exports each text box object as an individual image.

I want this to be one document that can be opened in web browser and the links are clickable.

What am I missing?

Thanks very much

That only works by using "save for web" and then the "preview code" option. There you can copy the code.

I would actually create the HTML in an HTML editor.
