SELECTION OF TEXT / OBJECT

When selecting text/object / image the selected item jumps from one place to another rarther than smoothly moving to desired place with mouse....very annoying trying to do precison work.....How can I fix this?

Is View > Snap to Pixel on? This might be the case if you used a 'Web' document profile.

Not only with Web document profiles, once it is on it stays on for all new documents.
