Single object transform vs multiple - transform controls in top toolbar

This has been bugging me for a while. On my old system I used to be able move / adjust size of any object (inc using cursors to move / enlarge one increment at a time) via the controls in the top toolbar. Now that only seems to work with Multiple Objects (in first pic below), and when I have a single object selected I only have a Transform button that opens up a box where the X Y W H boxes don't have cursors). This makes everything take so much longer. Is there a way of expanding the Transform button to get the controls in the first image when I have single objects selected?

If I understand correctly you want to see X Y W H up in the contorl bar rather than transform, which has you clicking agin to get to the tranform options. I think you are running out of space.

Uncheck brush for example, to show less in your control bar.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. In addition to suggestion given by Mike, I'd request checking out this help article(https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/workspace-basics.html#control_panel_overview) to know how you can manage Illustrator workspace.

Hope it helps.

Regards,

Ashutosh
