hi all

I googled my issue but couldn't find a matching one.

my problem is working with even the most simple vector files uses 50% of CPU and with two or more it'll be 100% and so slow.

and even when I close all opened documents it continues to use CPU.

Hi there,

Sorry about this trouble! I know that's really frustrating. Is Illustrator up to date? Which operating system you are working on? Where are the files saved (Network Drive/ System HDD/ Shared Folder on System /External HDD)?

You may also try the steps shared on this page (https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/resolve-slow-performance-and-unexpected-behaviors-in-illu...) and share your observations with us.

Regards,

Srishti

tried all of them. no change.

I have a feeling that illustrator is trying to find or access something and there's an infinite loop. it there any way of legally debugging it or collecting log and sending it to you guys?

the subprocess which used cpu used to be AIRobin but now as of last check, its " Illustrator.exe com.adobe.AdobeSplashKit.GraphicWindowClass " and it uses 25% cpu on plain and white a4 document.
