sometimes it takes a while to switch between tools

In my illustrator CC 2020 sometimes it takes a while (even up to 1second) to switch between tools, even the basic ones. Tha basic move tool (V) also needs a while to start moving. What is the reason? This should work like the speed of light. GPU accelaration is on. My machine - Windows 10 PRO, i7 6cores, 64GB ram, GTX 970, SSD

Which version exactly is it?

When was the last time you restarted the computer?

Has this always been the case or did this behaviour just start?

Version is 24.0.1 - is it worth updating to a newer one?

I make reboot om my machine once per ca 2 weeks.

In fact it helped. After reboot, illustrator runs noticable faster 🙂

I will do a restart as soon as I notice a slowdown.  This is probably the cause of the problem.
