SVG fonts are turning to blocks when expanded

Hi, Just wondering if anyone can help me. This is my first time working with SVG fonts in illustrator and when I try and expand the font it turns to square blocks, also when I try and live trace its greyed out. (I am running Illustrator CC 2020 on a Mac)

Would someone be able to give me some pointers on where I'm going wrong and some tips and tricks, it would be greatly appricated as I cant find anything online!

This font can't be converted to vector paths in a sensible manner.

Convert it to pixels instead for the web.
