Switching to path view locks me into CPU-view/can't switch back to GPU-view

For some reason, whenever I switch to path view my Illustrator (25.1) switches me to CPU rendering and I cant switch back to GPU rendering unless I close and reopen the file.

Do I have a setting wrong or is this an actual bug?

System:

Windows 10 Pro - 20H2

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

Nvidia 2070 Super - Driver 461.40

I reinstalled Illustrator now (with keeping the old preferences) and that resolved the issue 🙂

Thanks a lot for your help

Also tested it on a macbook pro (2018, Big Sur 11.2, AI 22.1) and it doesn't happen on that one.

Hi, have you tried to reset Adobe Illustrator preferences? Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift as you start Illustrator. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Illustrator.
