Text Issue: Is there something causing my text to become like this?

Why does illustrator types like this?

When I type:
Date: 09-

It will become like this...
Date: -09

I already changed the fonts. But still the same.

Adobe Illustrator 23.1.1
When I create a new text in Illustrator in my MAC PC (imac mid 2014), suddenly it's like this:

When I type:
Date: 09-

It will become like this...
Date: -09

The past few days were fine. But suddenly it became like this. It automatically puts dash before the number or characters.

No. I have no wacom and not using any. Neither do I use a second monitor.

Please post screenshots that show text formatting options

Also: maybe a computer restart is necessary or resetting the preferences. You can use the rename the folder method. That way you can revert to the old prefs in case it doesn't work. https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html
