Trying to save and receiving "an unknown error has occurred" on mac Illustrator 2020.

Hi,

When I try to save my file I get this. I know there have been threads on this but nothing seems to work for me. I saved to CC and reopened the original and theres a lot missing on the original. Not to mention CC wont let me save anymore either telling me "Cant save illustration." All layers are visible and unlocked, hopefully you can help.

Which version exactly is it?

Which system?

Exactly where are you trying to save?

Exactly which file format?

Is this a new file?

What's in the file?

Is there a printer connected, set up as default printer and is it trned on?
