Turcom tablet pressure settings not available on Illustrator.

I have a Turcom Tablet and I'm trying to get the pressure to work on illustator.  I assumed when I plug it in- the drop down menu option of "pressure" would be available but it isn't.  I tried resetting illustator preferences, and even downloaded the Wacom information in case that would work.  Are they not compatable?

Do the Wacom 6D brushes from the brushes library work?

I assume it's possible to adjust them to your needs by adjusting the sliders and then even saving as a new brush.
