I'm confused as to why I am unable to create a standard page in Illustrator. I just don't appear to have the option to. The only thing I can choose from is a Template. What is going on here?

I'm a regular user of Creative Cloud and have been using Adobe since about 2000 so it's not like I'n a noob and don't know my way around.

This seems to be an installation bug that arises for some people:   https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/illustrator-2021-quot-create-new-quot-broken-no-blank-doc...   Could you go to Edit > Preferences > General and tick 'Legacy File New Interface'? If you see document profiles in the old-style window, at least they're not missing.   Otherwise, solutions all seem to follow the deleting preferences/reinstalling/cleaner tool format.
