unable to export as inches i changed the art board size but when i export it exports as pixals

am having issues exporting my illustrator file to inches. i have the document in .png. and .psd. its already when i open it its set to pixals for some reason. so i change it to inches and double check the artboard to make sure that is is in inches. but when i go to file export for we its still in pixals. i have been trying to figure this out for a while and have asked some people in other groups am in with no luck.  i attached a video please need help

Images always export as pixels. You may add some info in Photoshop about the amount of pixels that should fit in an inch or a centimeter to specify how big the pixel should be reproduced.

Images always export as pixels.

You may add some info in Photoshop about the amount of pixels that should fit in an inch or a centimeter to specify how big the pixel should be reproduced.
