It shows a installation fail message: "Unable to install Adobe apps | Error 105". Find out that the Caps folder is missing on my mac, tried to uninstall the Creative Cloud installer, but still missing. Is there any way to download back or what's the next step should I take? Thank you.

That's probably the old gag of OS X hiding the "root" user stuff and you not having sufficient access to some hidden folders. Start by checking your user accounts system panel and verify your user permissions. Otherwise you may need to enable the hidden root user/ admin to make this work. Also of course generally simply check the file and folder permissions on your system volume.

Have you had Adobe products installed in the past? How long ago is this a repeat install of Illustrator? Some history please.

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner to fully remove your app & prefs then reinstall
