Unable to scale or rotate objects ( BOUNDING BOX is enabled)

Hi there,

I'm new to illustrator and I've been stuck on this for awhile.

I can't rotate and scale objects with the selection tool. When I'm trying to do this, I can only pick up the anchor point and move the object. My bounding box is actived so that's not the problem.

Also, I have tried using the transforming tool and it changes my dimensions.

Any wisdom, tip or tricks are very welcome!!

Thank you!!

Are you using the Direct Selection tool (white arrow) or the Selection tool (black arrow)?

Which version of Illustrator are you using?

Can you post a screenshot that shows one or several selected objects?

Use S to Scale and R to Rotate. Learn to use these tools properly and you won't need bounding boxes. (I learned to use Illie before bounding boxes were invented and have never been keen on them.)
