updated illustrator now its not responding when i try to create a new file

Ever since illustrator updated it no longer works I just keep getting not responding then eventually crash. I am a student so this is urgent. ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling, installing different versions that worked previously did the services prrinter spooler disable as shown on youtube and many forums. nothing is working why is Illustrator suddenly just not working
