Can an image be imported as a stroke?  Can an image be imported as text, then used along a vector line?  I want to use an image as a vector line.  I don't see how to do this.  I've learned how to make and import a custom brush from Photoshop, but the icon becomes distorted or shifts direction when I use it in illustrator and I don't want it to.  HELP!!!

Sorry, your entire request sounds a bit confusing.

Can you show a sketch that may explain what you are going to do?
