Hi!

I was wondering why values of a colour are different in the colour picker and the colour pallette in Illustrator? Can somebody explain this to me pls?

Is there some setting that can be applied to get those two synchronised?

What are the right values to communicate to your client?

Attached an example.

Kind regards!

If you type CMYK values in the panel or the picker, they should be the same.

If you use RGB values, they get converted.

Uncheck the Only Web Colors check box in the Color Picker.

You enter a CMYK value, ask for a Web Color equivalent and get the conversion back as CMYK values.

Use RGB values in an RGB document and CMYK values in a CMYK document.

You can choose the color model from the Color panel menu to match the document color mode.

No need to check the Only Web Colors, these are outdated.

Thx for your reply.

It is a CMYK document. But the CMYK specifications are also different.
