Variable Library is Invalid

I had this list I'd like to insert in as a variable library to illustrator cc 2015 and every time I try the invalid message comes and nothing is working. Even if I had done the XML file and didn't worth neither.

CC2015 does not take XLS files.

You will need a CSV. https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/data-driven-graphics-templates-variables.html#prepare-data...

But for CSV to work you need a higher version - CC2019
