Yesterday I had to reinstall the older version of illustrator. Illustrator kept lagging on a Windows 10 PC, Intel i9, nvidia rtx2060 and 32 GB Ram. That shouldn't happen. Every driver is up to date. It's not Wacom cuz every other software runs smoothly on it. Illustrator had perfomance issues (lags) on my wacom cintiq 22 (hdmi, resolution 1920x1080) so I pulled it over to my main monitor to work with my mouse. My main monitor is display port and runs with a 3840x2160 resolution. Illustrator tried openening the file, switched to a kind of minimized version, giving me an error message that the resolution wasn't high enough to open the file, when I tried to scale the program it froze and and then crashed...

After a few more tries I deinstalled it and installed the version before that. It runs better now but please fix this in the new version!

I downgraded to 25.2.2 which runs stable so far. The update (25.2.3) was the one crashing.

Hi there,

Sorry about this trouble. Could you please confirm which version it was? We have recently released an update for Illustrator 2021 (v 25.2.3). If you are not already on v25.2.3, then we recommend you to update to latest version.

If it still shows the same behavior, please try the suggestions shared on this page ( https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/how-to-fix-a-crash-and-recover-documents-in-illustrator/t...) and share your observations with us.

Regards,

Srishti
