Warning when save illustrator-file as pdf

when I want to save a illustrator file as pdf, I get this warning:

the dimensions of this page are outside the possible range

In German:

die maße dieser seite befinden sich außerhalb des möglichen bereichs

How can i fix it?

what are the dimensions you have? can you show us what you have going on with the file?

I tried PDF 1.6 and 1.7. Still the same message.

I'm betting at least one of your dimensions is over 200". PDFs have a smaller max dimension than an AI file.

You need to update to version 24.2.1 in order to save large documents.

For the new large document dimensions in 24.2.1 you need pdf version 1.6 or later.

Double click the Artboard tool for dimensions.

Best thing to do is update to 24.2.1 

But you can try to save as .ai with create PDF compatible file checked and rename the .ai file to .pdf (do it on a copy).
