Web design in illustrator to html/css

Hello!

So I got a website.ai file and I want to convert it to html/css template. I don't know exactly how to export it. Is there any way to export the html? I saw there's an option to export design as CSS. What's the workflow when exporting a website?

Can anyone give me any advice on that?

I have basic html/css skills if this matters.

I don't think the intended workflow is to go from Illustrator directly to a working website. You can extract the CSS (Extract CSS | Illustrator CC), but you might consider exporting the various parts and bringing them into Muse. you cant export to html and get a website from illustrator, photoshop or indesign. you made mockups.

you have to break down the art elements that can't be done with html and css as .png of .jpg files. 

And in your case, you should work with a web developer to make the website.
