I am having an issue with Illustrator showing white as black for the color fills in my artwork. It keeps happening randomly and stopping after a while. This stopped when I changed tools.. You can see in the photo that the items are selected and in the top left corner the fill indicated as white but appearing as black.
Can you show the Appearance panel?
Maybe there are multiple fills with another one, below the visible fill selected.
Have you checked your appearances window that will show you exactly whats going on?
I'm experiencing the same bug. Happens every once in a while. Still no idea why it does it, or how to stop it, or why it suddenly starts working properly again. Sometimes quitting an restarting helps, sometimes not.
Please show a screenshot with Appearance panel.
I am having the same issue currently, I've never had it happen before.
Phil, Andy, Taylor,
Mayby far too far out, but what happens if you Ctrl/Cmd+E (toggles between GPU and CPU)?
I was having the same issue and this worked for me. Thank you!!
You are welcome, Ellen.
I believe you ought to also thank Taylor: without his bringing up this old thread from March I should never have seen it.
Wow. That did it. Could this be an issue with GPU support or is it supposed to do that?
It is an issue of GPU failure.
GPU is faster, sometimes too fast.
Graphics cards are included in the system requirements:
Apart from an inadequate card, the issue can be caused by lack of driver updating, lack of proper recognition of the card by the computer, and whatnot (including rifts in the space time, moon, weather, and the fact that Illy sometimes moves in mysterious ways).
Here are a few more pages about GPU troubleshooting:
You are welcome, Aleesa.
My laptop is quickly becoming outdated, this is what Im running on
Quite a few users halt the CC updating for a number of reasons, a main one being OS/hardware limits.
