Why is my updated Illustrator doing this?

I'm trying to join two points with the pen tool, but in the program is draws the line 10mm to the left of where I'm drawing on my page.

any ideas?

this has happened in the past and I think a future update has solved it.

Any Snap to options active in the View menu?

Ahh yes.. Snap To Grid.. 

turned it off and now we're good!
