Why won't this ogee outline convert to a shape?

Hi, I have tried countless tutorials. Why is this not working? I created this outline of paths to resemble an ogee arch. Now, I want to make it fit onto the 3D grid (as shown). This should be easy! Grab each corner and snap it to the cube corners! Yet, somehow it is impossible. Yes, I already clicked "Join" in Pathfinder. I tried to "Convert to Shape" and it wouldn't allow. "Expand" is grayed out regardless of which tool I select. Please advise! I've wasted 2 days on this bottleneck.

If you are using the Perspective Selection Tool you should be able to drag your shape straight onto the active perspective plane.

You will find this tool under the Perspective Grid Tool within the Tools panel.
