X Y coordinates not showing next to anchor points.

The X and Y co-ordinates are not showing when I place the Direct Selection tool near an anchor point. Can anyone advise? I am using AI 2021 with OSX 10.15.7.

Do you have Smart Guides active (View menu > Smart Guides or cmd+U? In Preferences > Smart Guides is Measurement Labels checkbox activated? Is Snapping Tolerance value large enough?
