Blank pages in Layout view in InCopy

I'm seem to be having a strange issue in InCopy when I try to open PB covers. Instead of showing me the Cover in "layout" view, it shows me four blank pages. And this is the ICMA file that I opened. Btw, Im also accessing the file through a VPN server not sure if that is related to the issue. Thanks in advance

PB? What happens if you open the INDD file in InCopy and bypass the assignment?
