Hello everyone,
we separated a large document in InDesign into a book (.indb) and created asssignments, which are edited by our customer in InCopy. Is it possible for them to export alle pages of the book InCopy to a PDF (like in the InDesign book window)? Our customer sometimes needs the whole document in one file for preview purposes and is not able to merge the PDF files.
Thanks in advance,
Diana

If the InCopy user is working within Assignment files, they can export to PDF, because the assignment provides the same shape of page geometry as the InDesign file, so the pages would look the same as the InDesign file.
However, the InCopy user can only export to PDF as much as the InCopy assignment allows. Usually that is a page or so. InCopy does not access a book file. So that would leave the InDesign document/book user to provide the whole PDF of all pages.

I'm going to disagree with your interpretation here, Mike. I think the OP is referring to outputting an INDB file containing multiple InDesign files to PDF. AFAIK, that can only be done from InDesign.

That's right, Bob, I agree with you, and said as much in a round-about way.
