InCopy opening old versions of files

We are working on a magazine. My colleague sent me zip files with updated versions and when I opened them in InCopy, his changes were not there, even though he could see them. I have deleted all old files from my computer - but it's like it's opening cached versions. Is there a fix?

Sounds like human error to me.

 

Why are you being sent zip files? Put everything in the project in a Dropbox folder that you and your colleague are working on. Have the InCopy content exported to a folder within that folder and then the InCopy user can open the INDD file in InCopy and work on it there.

You shouldn't be "sending" anything. Follow my directions above and create shared Dropbox or OneDrive folder and be done with it.

We have been sending it through sharepoint? We just recently switched to Onedrive/sharepoint, before we were using Google drive, so we are still very new to OneDrive. What is happening isn't true for every file. But our team has hit a multitude of issues.
