Hi all,
I have a strange problem: I've installed and activated a certain font, Meta Serif Pro, using Adobe Creative Cloud Fonts and I want to use it. I see the font, I can use it in InDesign, but when I want to use it with InCopy, the font is in brackets eand the text is pink, meaning the font can't be found. This is extra weird because I can litterally see the font in the drop-down menu in InCopy, as well as all the font-types (Itallic, Bold, etc.)
Could anyone please help? Thanks a bunch!
Cheers,
Arthur

Hi Bob,
All my apps are up to date. InCopy is Version 17.2, it says this is the newest version.

Yeah, sorry...ID was updated to 17.2.1.
I just activated that family and I'm not seeing a problem. Are you trying to open a file that uses that font or create a new InCopy file? Did you install it from InDesign or did you visit the Adobe fonts website to activate it?

Hi Bob,
First of all thanks for al the help so far!
This font was already installed on my WIndows laptop and it works normally in MS Word for instance. Most fonts work fine with all the Adobe-tools when I install it using Windows Fonts. However, this font keeps having trouble, so I tried activating it using the Adobe CC Font-manager. I can get it activated but when I want to use it, like I said, it shows in brackets and the text turns pink. The weird thing is that I cán use it in InDesign, but not in InCopy. Both when I make a new document or when I use a document that already uses the font, it keeps telling me the font is missing and I can't replace it, even when I find it.
I've never had this problem before with any other font. Maybe if I unistall the font completally from my laptop and only activate it using Adobe CC, would that help maybe?

Two versions of the same font is a recipe for trouble. By all means, deactivate one or the other.

Hi Bob,
I think I've found it!! I did what I said, uninstalled the Font family completely from my laptop, rebooted and activated it using Adobe CC. Now I can use the font in both InDesign and InCopy! Thanks a million for all the help, I think I'm good now.
Cheers,
Arthur
