Trouble Routing Files

New Here ,
Jan 14, 2025 Jan 14, 2025

Hello. I am working in InCopy 2024, but I'm having trouble routing files to co-workers. I route a file. However, the Studio view does not show that the file has been routed, and my colleagues do not get any notice. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? I did not have any troubles with InCopy 2019. We just switched to 2024. Thank you.

Can you describe what you mean by "routing files" and what "Studio view" mean?

Thank you for your reply. By "routing files," I mean assigning an article in InCopy to a coworker for edits. InCopy does not show that the file has been forwarded. Thank you.

Again, please give us more details. Are you using assignments or opening the INDD file in InCopy? [FWIW, I do not recommend assignments for small workgroups.]

Nothing at all should be forwarded to anyone. Every file for  the project should in a folder accessible by all participants.
