When I'm editing in InCopy, blocks of text disappear for several minutes before reappearing. The most recent edits sometimes aren't saved. Why did this start happening, and how can I address it?

There was a miscommunication on our end; we ARE on 13.1. Our designer said that’s when our problems started—both the disappearing text blocks and the assignments menu bug (reported in April).

Are you using assignments or just opening the INDD file? FWIW, I recommend opening the INDD file directly in InCopy.

We’re creating copy directly in InCopy. The InCopy file (.icml) is then being imported into InDesign and not showing in the Assignment panel.

Oh that…yes, it’s bug and a known issue with literally no workaround but placing the file, unlinking it and then exporting it back out.

Already reported but feel free to upvote it. https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/34016665-placed-icml-files-do-not-appear-in-the-assignments

Thanks, but that’s the other of the two bugs we’re trying to get answers on. The one I was asking you about is the disappearing text blocks. When we’re editing, paragraphs of text temporarily disappear.

And I asked you about your workflow and you still haven't answered it.

Are you opening INDD files or ICMA files?
