In the layoutview it looked like normal, but our editors use the storyview to see what has been updated so it makes it very disturbing.

Does this happen on all files or just this one particular file?

Cannot view it anymore as I made a new file. And we ask editors to use story instead of galley as it more often makes INcopy crash in our experience?

Then it sounds like it was just one wonky file and if galley view is crashing you need to look into the cause.

What version of InCopy? What operating system? Can you pinpoint any particular action or font that is causing it?
