Hallo zusammen,

Vielen Dank

There are third party solutions available such as K4 but they can be very expensive. You're far better off properly training writers and editors on what they are allowed or not allowed to do.

What Bob said. Unfortunately there are no plug-ins for InCopy that allow for an admin to set editing privileges or status updates. Your best bet is to work with the designers and editors to come up with guidelines for what editors are allowed to do, possibly including a "turn on track changes" step in the workflow to track their edits.

And you'll need to come up with a way to communicate status of stories and layouts; using something like Slack or Asana or just email. 😉 You can't move files around to folders ("1st proof") etc as that will break the workflow,

Regardless of these issues, I can assure you there are tens of thousands of InCopy/InDesign workflows progressing nicely. Welcome!
