I want to do a search/find on the linked text in a large file. I'm unable to so without unlinking all the text, or searching the articles individually. Does anyone know whether there is a way to do this without unlinking the text files?

You have to everything in for find/change to work.

From the assignments panel, if there’s no assignment, all of the stories will be under the unassigned content. Select that and from the panel menu choose check out.

You're going to need to be much more specific including what you mean by linked text.

Please include version of InCopy and what exactly you're searching. ICML? INDD? ICMA?

InCopy/InDesign 2017

The text has been exported as .icml for the InCopy users. I'm trying to do the Find/Change in InDesign to replace quote marks with inch marks. If I unlink from the .icml files, Find/Change will work. While linked, the Find/Change function can't see any of the copy.
