I made a file in 1080x1080px format in Photoshop. When I go to import to i Indesign, in the same 1080x1080px format, it appears much smaller. What is causing the difference in formats?

Since InDesign will assume 72ppi, what is your PSD set to? If you set it to 300ppi, it would show up smaller.

So if you change the PSD to 72ppi, it should match your page in InDesign.

Of course, instead of clicking to let it place onto the page, you could drag it from topleft corner to bottom right corner, and it will match the InDesign page.

You might also look at the Info panel and the Links panel and read the numbers for Actual and Effective PPI as you experiment with this.
