Hi @xaverr26601882
I don't speak German, and this might not have been translated correctly with the translation tools. I tried creating one and two columns but wasn't seeing changes. Is this issue specific to saving as PDF? Could you explain more about how to recreate the issue? Sorry for not understanding.
Best,
Dave

When a column span of two columns is applied to the first row, the text below the image is aligned to the height of the opposite row. This creates a gap below the image.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

100% you've Align to Baseline Grid.
That's why when you or someone else - designs layout - need to decide on the size of the images - either make them ALWAYS the same height - or with a specific step - so the space between the image and text will always be the same.

Danke für Ihre Bemühungen.
WURDE N I C H T AM BASELINE-RASTER ausgerichtet.
Tut mir leid.
Anscheinend kann keiner von Adobe das Problem nachvollziehen, das es mit der Spaltenspanne zusammenhängt.

OK, something is REALLY wrong with your document...
You are right - you DON'T have Align to Baseline Grid ON - yet, when I move those frames for images - your text BEHAVES like there is Align ON?!?!
Sorry, completely missed your coments in the side frames 😞 and the contents of the first paragraphs - in both frames... power of lorem ipsum...

Ohne Ergebnis.
Herzlichen Dank. Gruß Xaver

Hi @xaverr26601882,
Thanks so much for sharing the details, and I really appreciate Robert diving deeper and confirming that this does appear to be a bug. It’s definitely unusual to see this kind of behavior with column span, especially when Align to Baseline Grid isn’t turned on, so it’s worth flagging to the team.
If you’ve already submitted a UserVoice report for this, please feel free to share the link here in the thread. That way, others who run into the same issue can upvote it and help bring more visibility. In the meantime, I’ll also check in with the product team to see if they can identify what’s causing this.
Lastly, please confirm the version of InDesign and the OS you’re working on?
Looking forward to your update!
