2022 not starting correctly

Updated to InDesign 2022 and the home screen to open new project do not load. The menu bar is accessible but nothing happens when choosing "new document", except that the menu bar is not working.

Opening existing idd works, but the same problem occurs when using "new..." in menu bar, nothing happens, no prompts no home screen.

I tried to revert back to v. 16.4 and it has the same exact problem now too.?..?...?

Update

 

It is definitely something with the "home screen". Changed the preferences to Legacy "New Document" Dialog and InDesign 2022 starts fine.

Changing back to "home Screen" blacks everything out except the menu bar.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing version of the OS & InDesign? Does resetting preferences help with this behavior?

You may also try Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to remove the existing installation of the app & reinstall once done. Let us know if it helps.
