Luca

If nothing helps, also try to create a new clean user account in System Settings > Users & Groups and work from there. Will it make a difference?

Attempts so far have been a new installation of Indesign, a start in safe mode to exclude other programs, a complete deletion of the Adobe Cloud with all applications and subsequent reinstallation and also a factory reset and transfer via backup.

Not sure if factory restet will clear everything out on a Mac - but have you tried CC Cleaner?

Thank you for your answer. Yes, I tried that after I struggeled to clean of all the adobe programms by hand. Didn't change anything after re downloading.

Yes, thank you, thats my solution  for now. InDesign works fine on a completly  empty user account, so I'll make that work until I figure out what programm or document is causing the problems.
