Hello,

The Adobe InDesign crashed suddenly and I don't know how to fix it. I'm using Windows 10 x64 and my InDesign version is 16.0 x64. The crash report is:

https://pastebin.com/BjUAa8qn

How can I solve it?

Thank you.

What were you doing when it crashed? The report isn't a lot of help.

Hi there,

Sorry about the crashing. I would suggest you try running the app in Hidden Admin Account and let us know if it crashes there. Also, you may try the following steps:

  • In the search box on the taskbar, type command prompt, press and hold (or right-click) Command Prompt, then select Run as administrator > Yes.
  • At the command prompt, type sfc /scannow (note the space between sfc and the /). Scanning will take a few minutes.
If SFC finds corrupted files and replaces them, restart your PC and check if the issue persists.

Will be looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Anshul Saini

Are you running any third-party Anti-Virus software? If so try disabling it to see if the crash keeps happening.

There's some good info here

Hello,

That link is about Disabling Windows DEP! , I guess that I must enable it and add "InDesign.exe" file to it.

Am I wrong?

Have you been messing around with DEP? This link seems to imply that you are not able to turn off hardware DEP enforcement for 64-bit programs: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/all/cannot-set-dep-attributes-on-64-bit-executables/0ab...

If you have been trying to disable DEP for InDesign, that might be the problem...

Are you do all the things that write to you I and Anshul here? Or you just try to upgrade?

Is 101 error thread can't help you? Is support says that don't wanna help you too?
