After updating to macOS Monterey unable to create new style based on existing style in InDesign

Trying to create a new style since updating to Monterey - has a mind of its own. Font, size, color - even if I base it on an existing style.

Yes, if you could describe "mind of its own" in more detail, that would be helpful.

Also, might want to delete your application prefs for ID, which will cause ID to rebuild the prefs file: https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/indesign-preferences-support-file-locations.html
