All Caps to Initial Caps in TOC

I'm creating a book whose chapter headings are all caps (CHAPTER ONE) but I'd like the TOC to list each chapter with initial caps (Chapter One).

Any thoughts on how to proceed? Thanks.

If the text is actually typed in cap and lower-case, the paragraph style for the chapter heading could be assigned the appearance of all caps, while the paragraph style that dresses the ToC could have the appearance of cap and lowercase.

Fastest way is to assign a keyboard shortcut to Type > Change Case… > Title Case then use the Find/Change to find all your chapter headings, changing each by applying the short cut. You can then change the chapter heading Paragraph Style to All Caps.
(If you are good a scripting that would be even faster, but it's more advanced)

One thing to watch for if you do a Find/Change to Title Case is that some words such as "and, of, the, a" need to remain lower case. It will take some manual tweaking.

Proof it in your TOC; fix it in your layout.

To reiterate what Michael said in a slightly different way: Type the chapter heads with Initial Caps and apply ALL CAPS as a part of the Paragraph Style for your chapter heads. If your TOC Style, does not include ALL CAPS formatting, you'll have exactly what you're looking for.
