I want to see if this is possible with the InDesign. While exporting a PDF, is there any PDF preference option to set, so that when someone open the exported PDF, it should always open the bookmark panel in the Acrobat?

I know in Acrobat there is an option to keep always open the bookmark panel, but I can want the PDF to carry this info and open bookmark panel automatically when all my customer opens it in acrobat.

In the PDFExportPreference I can see only includeBooksmarks, but no other options.

> PDFExportPreference.includeBookmarks

Is this even possible in InDesign?

Some programs that create bookmarks automatically open the bookmarks pane in Acrobat--InDesign does not.

As you noted, you can set it to open in Acrobat, but if the user closes the bookmarks pane and saves the PDF, it won't open again. The only way around that is to set security on the file after you set your view settings.
