Anchor object

Hi. I have an image on the top of a page with Text Wrap, after Anchoring the Photo at the beginning of text first line, the text continues behind the photo, it's like the text override the Wrap on the top. It looks like I can anchor a photo only with a previous line. In this case, the previous text line is on a different page. Is it how it should be, or I miss some settings?

Hi Rainbow19,

give the anchor its own paragraph:

HI. Yes, I'm doing the anchoring by dragging. I don't know what you mean by showing that.

The blue arrows show the Wrap bounding.

If I do what you say, I get this... Not only the first line of the text but all the text continues behind the photo.

hidden symbols are shown. You can see the anchor symbol before letter K.

Hi together,

to make that work, text wrap for the first line, give the anchoring group or object its own paragraph.

Or, if possible, anchor it one text line before text wrap should kick in.

The other solution:
Do not anchor the group that should wrap the text.

To be clear...this is how it works. You cannot wrap the first line of text that an object is anchored to.

How do I opt out of anchored objects? They are awful in my opinion.

Simple: don't place graphics with your cursor in the text.

Please start a new discussion next time; this was about HOW to anchor images properly, not how to avoid it.
