Hello,

Is there anyway to automatically format a table coming straight from a word document? Or do you have to do it manually? When importing a word document you don't have the possibility to format the table, only the text. What do i do? Is it possible to change the default table format in indesign, ensuring every table in indesigns default table have a certain tableformat? Any ideas? Hope it makes any sense.

Makes perfect sense. Set up a table style with cell styles (which will use paragraph styles). Then a lot of the formatting will be handled when you apply the table style to the table in the ID document.

Or, style them in Word, tweak them in InDesign.
