Hello. I have a problem with InDesign. By importing a Word text (docx) and then applying a style, some problems arise: part of the text does not acquire the right font and the text is not adequately formatted (for example, the hyphenation indications are not applied). How is this possible? What should I do? Thank you!
How are you applying style - and which style - Character or Paragraph?
Most likely - there are some "local overrides" in the text.

Thank you with all my heart! You made my day.
The problem was exactly what you identified and the solution works.
Is there any way to "prevent" the problem or is it impossible?
Thanks!

You're welcome.
With WORD documents - unlikely. It all depends on the experience of the author.
If you've WORD installed - you could use a macro I've co-crated for WORD:
https://ID-Tasker.com/uploads/WordStyle.zip
You would've to run it in WORD on the received document BEFORE importing this document to InDesign.
It "replaces" all Bolds, Italics, Underlines, Sub/Super-scripts and their combinations - applies CharStyles.
Then, after importing this processed WORD document into InDesign - you COULD select whole text and Clear Overrides.
You Could - but first you've to check if there aren't any other extra formattings applied - like colors - as the name suggests - it will clear EVERYTHING that's not defined in the applied Char/ParaStyles.

Thank you so much for the time you dedicated to me.
Unfortunately I need to import Word files with bold, italic and colors.
I'm sorry that InDesign also decide to import "dirty" fonts that don't appear in Word.
However, thanks to your suggestions, I save time and correct everything without the possibility of missing something.
Thanks again! Have a nice day.

Use Character styles in Word, along with Paragraph styles. You can use Replace in Word to search for the formats and apply the style. Better yet, you can record a macro to automate this process on other files. Match them up with your InDesign styles during import.
I usually select all after importing and remove overrides since there is always some "Word clutter" that comes along regardless of my settings.

Thanks so much for the advice! I will try this solution.
