Audio file not continuing to play after page turn

HELP!

I am having issues with playing an audio file on InDesign. It won't play throughout the whole indesign online link. The audio file is placed on the 2nd page (there are 41 pages).

After turning to the next page, the audio file stops suddenly, even with 'Stop on page load' unticked. This should not be happening.

I would like to have the audio file play as the viewer flicks through the InDesign online link. Can someone please advise 🙂

Here's another thread with a similar question. It's seems to give Bob's answer:

What exported filetype are you using? If PDF, what software is testing its play?

That's correct! It's in Publish Online...

Any advice on how to make it work as I describe would be greatly appreciated

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong because I don't use Publish Online but I don't believe that's possible.

So if I understand correctly, it is only possible to have an audio file play on one slide, then when you turn to the next one, it'll automatically stop? That is odd, because why would there then be an option to have it stop on the next page.

The option to have it keep on playing or stop on the next page load assumes that it should be possible no?

So it is not possible to have an audio file play once one loads up a published online link, and have it play through as someone scrolls through the different slides until it eventually reaches its end on the audio file? Why is there then an option to even add an audio file?

Appreciate all your feedback, I know it's not your fault, but just a bit frustrating that Adobe would even build in that option if it can't just play throughout the published link...

Speaking of slides, you could try to do this as a multi state object and then you might get the effect you're after, but I will say this, nothing annoys me more on the web than audio playing without my permission.

I have this same issue, but with an interactive PDF. It used to work, but at some point (possibly on updating my OS), audio would stop playing upon turning the page, despite selecting the option to have it play 'until disabled'. Did you ever get to the bottom of this?

This post has nothing to do with PDF, which, if you've been paying attention is not a format that lends itself to much of anything in the way of interactivity. This is especially true for multimedia.

If you want more help, we'll need more detail but please provide it in a new discussion. I'm locking this one to avoid any future confusion.
