Hi,

I know it's possible to balance a multi-column text frame, but can you also balance text frames that span multiple pages and aren't multi-column?

I can imagine that it can't be automated in this form, since connected text frames don't have to be next to each other in their order, but I'll ask anyway.

Not too clear on what you want to accomplish here. You can insert text frames that span one or all columns, or even a spread, and apply various formatting to that including column balancing. A better description, or a faked-up example of what you'd like to achieve?

You can also use headings that span columns, so that all the text under it is balanced following the heading, wtihout using a text box.
