Bold heads, regular body: help importing styles

For years, I could import a (vendor list) that has bold heads and a standard body. Helvetica.

 

Now, InDesign doesn't see that different font styles of bold and regular. any help is appreciated!

Try to place your text in indesign as .rtf.

Try also .doc and .docx. 

Is the result always the same?

I have a vendor using wordperfect. Convert to a .doc and worked. Thanks!

before import make sure that you did select the character style [None] in the Character Styles panel.

as a workaround you could also try a script by Marc Autret if you do copy/paste from Word to InDesign.
