bug in InDesign's online correction module

Community Beginner ,

Hi everyone, I'm dealing with a recurring bug in InDesign's online correction module,
once the corrections are encoded, they appear in the proofreading window and in the online proofreading link, but they are not visible in my INDD working document
A while ago, the corrections to be made were automatically visible with a yellow line when I was on "W" mode

I've reinstalled indd, deleting all my settings, but nothing changes.

here is two screen, the indd version and the Online mode where the corrections are highlighted...

Thanks for your Help

Does it happen in every INDD document - or just this one?

Can you downgrade to 20.1 or even 20.0?

Hi Robert, I tested it this morning, but it doesn't work.

But we do have a lead!
we're a team of 10 people and we work on documents generated by everyone.

The document correction link was generated by our boss and he doesn't have the bug. Another colleague tested it and he too has the bug.

It seems that the corrections are only displayed correctly by the person who generated the link.

I think it was always like that - you need to be an author / owner - person who exported - of the original file.

Hi @nicoc16369417,

Thanks so much for the detailed observations. I was able to reproduce the same behavior on my end—just like Robert mentioned, the corrections only appear correctly for the person who originally generated the online proofing link. So yes, it looks like only the original author or owner can fully see those changes.

I completely understand how important this functionality is for your workflow, and I’m sorry it’s not currently available. If you don’t mind, could you submit this as a feature request on InDesign Uservoice? Adding your comments there helps our team prioritize it, and you'll get notified if there's any update. Also, feel free to share the link here in the thread, so others can upvote it too.

Appreciate your help in flagging this!
